Save the date: Saturday, September 7!
Thanks to a chance encounter in the Harrison School lunch line, the Pony Homecoming Club will be bringing fantastic live theater to the Pony Park (or the Gym, if it looks like rain…).
This FREE performance will start at 5 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024
From the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks website: “Born from aspirations to bring the timeless tales of William Shakespeare directly to rural and under-served communities, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks has been enriching the lives of people in Montana, and beyond, for 52 seasons. This summer Montana Shakespeare in the Parks is pleased to announce our summer parks tour performances of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” and “The Winter’s Tale” will be coming to a community near you!”
At press time, which play we’ll see has not been determined. Will we witness the appearance of the ghost of Hamlet’s father? Or meet a lost princess named Perdita?
The Pony Homecoming Club is seeking donations and local sponsors to help cover our share of the performance fee, which is less than one third of the cost of bringing Montana Shakespeare in the Parks here. Please consider donating to the PHC for Shakespeare. We are able to reduce the cost by housing and feeding the 11 cast members locally on the day/night of the show. If you are interested in helping to house or feed the cast, please contact Andrea Cady at 406-579-7892.
